The Boy Scout Encampment on the firehall grounds at Apple Festival Time
The Boy Scouts from Hickory, PA camp every year at the Apple Festival. Their main job for the weekend is to keep the Festival grounds clean. The troup is so thorough that, when the Festival is over, no trace of debris from the Fire Company's thousands of weekend visitors can be found.

The Fire Company and Ladies' Auxiliary are grateful to the citizens of Mt. Pleasant Township for their support. Because of your generosity and your helping hands during our fundraisers, we can keep the halls running and update our trucks and equipment when they no longer do the job.

Of course, anyone who has gone to the Apple Festival knows that hundreds of people from the township and even beyond its borders come together to make that event a winner year after year. The help of members of organizations like the Hickory Lions and Lionesses and the Boy Scouts is absolutely essential, too. Washington Federal and other area businesses sponsor the Apple Festival or contribute in various ways so the event has every chance of success. The finest bakers in the area contribute delicious apple pies. Make no mistake, none of our activities could happen without all of you.

You always come through for us, and we cannot thank you enough. Because of your support, when an emergency occurs, we can be there for you.
